Aleah Grimshaw is the new and first intern at The Preventive Measures Foundation. Aleah graduated with her Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Case Management, summa cum laude, from Kutztown University in August 2022. She is currently in the Advanced Standing Master of Social Work program at Kutztown University. With her passion for working in the mental and behavioral health field, she uses her voice and power to empower others to reveal their power from within. She is unafraid to have difficult conversations and to empower individuals to take an active role in their mental health, handle their life stressors, and improve their quality of life. She leads by example and advocates along with her clients to shatter the barriers that have caused them to suffer for far too long. Upon graduation, Aleah wants to continue to work in the mental health field and obtain her licensures, while advocating to reduce the mental health disparities within the Black, Indigenous, and People of color (BIPOC) communities.
