Schools, colleges, universities, and community programs offering educational pathways aligned with mental health and human services may apply for scholarship funding to support their students.Geographic focus: Programs must serve students who reside in or attend school in Pennsylvania, Georgia, or the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area (DMV), or students attending a recognized Historically Black College or University (HBCU).Educational focus: Eligible pathways include degrees, training, certifications, and other educational programs that prepare students for work in mental health and human services. Relevant fields include but are not limited to Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Sociology, Medicine, Nursing, Home Health, Public Health, and Public Administration.Payment capability: The applying school or program must be able to accept scholarship funding by wire transfer.

PMF will review applications, select schools and programs whose work aligns with our scholarship priorities, and determine the total funding awarded to each partner. Selected partners must meet the following requirements.Student selection and scholarship amountsSelect student recipients. Each school or program will select its student recipients in alignment with the purpose of its approved scholarship award.Award $500 to $1,000 per student. Each student must receive a minimum of $500 and a maximum of $1,000 in scholarship support from the partner’s PMF award.Provide recipient information. Submit the name and email address of every student selected to receive a PM Legacy Scholarship.Celebration and recognitionAttend the virtual celebration. A representative from each selected school or program and all scholarship recipients must attend a 60-minute virtual celebration to meet the Preventive Measures Foundation team and recognize the students’ achievements. Invite PMF to scholarship ceremonies. If a selected school or program hosts a scholarship award ceremony, PMF requests an invitation to attend and participate in recognizing its scholarship recipients.Funding and disbursementScholarship funding will be disbursed only by wire transfer directly to the selected school or program to support students through the approved educational opportunity. PMF does not issue checks or payments directly to individual students.Selected partners must confirm their ability to accept wire transfers and complete PMF’s required award documentation before funding can be disbursed. If a school or program cannot accept a wire transfer, the award cannot be disbursed.Funds associated with students who graduate early or do not remain enrolled in the funded educational opportunity must be returned to the Foundation.

Employees and contractors pursuing an aligned educational pathway may also be considered for PM Legacy Scholarship support through a selected school or program.Legacy applications are submitted by schools and programs, and those partners select student recipients.
