Walking for Change

Dear Supporter and Friend,

Since 2016, Preventive Measures and The Preventive Measures Foundation have walked to increase awareness of the deep need in the space of mental health. With our communities and schools facing a post-pandemic mental health crisis, the need for ground-level support has never been more crucial.

As we consider the need, it’s important to understand that mental health and wellness extend well beyond therapy. Mental distress from food insecurities, abuse, or lack of access to basic resources can affect the whole person, the whole family, the whole community - and it’s difficult to reach a state of mental wellness if you’re hungry, or homeless, or unsafe.

That’s why we walk to raise funds to build awareness and provide financial support to organizations doing the work to provide care beyond the mental health services we provide. I’m extending this special invitation to join us in championing mental wellness and support in our communities. Your sponsorship will directly impact the most vulnerable populations and effect real change.
